Vladimir,

Thanks for the shout-out. I am glad that you like my book and I agree with your thoughts in this post. Internet marketing rewards failure with information about what doesn't work, so you can try again. Thanks again and let me know if I can ever be of any help to you.

@ Laura. 1) Let me give you an example from my personal life. About 3 weeks ago I discovered that one of websites got badly hacked. The reason why I believe it got so easily attacked is because the site was poorly protected. And that was a mistake I had to 'pay for'. Now, all the data that was on the site has been lost. So, this is obviously a good lesson for me. Next time, I should be better prepared for things like that. The bright side of it is that I can learn from this lesson and now I will do everything to avoid that.
2) Right now I am focusing on the present. This very moment I a writing a comment to you. I let go all 'noise' and other distractions. Although in the post I made it sound a bit more spiritual (as it actually is), focusing on the present as I see it has two ramifications: spiritual and day-to-day. But I believe that focusing only on the present moment i.e. the NOW one can achieve what he/she desires. Practical example may be if you are in a difficult/challenging situation in your life you should be focusing on the solutions. Don't think about the past, but only the present moment. In other words, ask what do you need to do right now to resolve the situation. As one of my mentors says: what you have now is the result of what you did 3 months ago. So think what you should do RIGHT now to get a result you wish to have in a 3-month period.
3) The last one is 'dreaming about the feature'. I love dreaming. It is one of the best inventions because dreams stretch us humans and I believe they are the No1 reason why the world is evolving. Practical example: dream or envision about the results you want to accomplish in different aspects of your life. One mistake many of us are making over and over is that we let our limiting beliefs replace dreams we've cherished. We must not do that!

@ Venilla, I can't agree more on what you said that success is an elusive term in the sense that it can mean different things to different people. No doubt. Thanks for your great comment.

@ Nursirinah - I am glad you find it useful and thanks for reading.

yes, I do agree with you, we learn from the past, we should try to focus on what we have now, and we dream about the future, that will motivate us to move on

It's good strategic thinking to "Learn from the Past" not just in business but also as a Life Skill. However not all lessons, in my experience are necessarily relevant in the varying situations over time. The 'Present' is unique, as I remember reading in an Indian pragmatic book, and is literally a 'Present', a gift! It calls forth creative responses in life, love and in business.

It is a process of evolution in mind and spirit to make the right choices. Sometimes when we get it right, we could benefit from hindsight why exactly things worked out well. Sometimes when we get it wrong, hindsight can also teach us why it went wrong, and how to make things work better, or relaunch a new process/project/product/new phase in life.

To keep trying, keep going on in our chosen paths, and having the agility to accommodate and incorporate changes ultimately leeds to success. Success though is an elusive term. It means different things to different people. But as everyone's dreams are different, a personalized success is possible by Self confidence, the ability to break free of limiting beliefs, the Faith to welcome changes no matter what the past was, and creativity to solve problems or evade obstacles as we carry on in our life's journey.
